Neuromuscular Junction on Chip
We develop compartmentalized microfluidic platforms that recreate the neuromuscular junction by co-culturing motor neurons and skeletal muscle fibers in separate but fluidically connected chambers. Axonal growth through microchannels enables synapse formation and functional neuromuscular coupling, providing a powerful tool for studying ALS, myasthenia gravis, and neurotoxicity.
